In third grade we begin the transition from LEARNING to read to READING to learn. We explore a variety of texts in many different genres while still practicing fundamental reading skills. Our goal is to foster a room full of thoughtful readers who LOVE to read!

We will work on one book project per trimester for a total of three book projects. Students may be expected to work on reading a "Just-Right" book at home in preparation for completing their book projects. More information will be sent home as a project date gets closer!
As writers in third grade, our goal is to EXPAND and EXPLODE our writing with details and "Silver Dollar" language. We continue to explore grammar mechanics and different forms of writing.
